HSN Appoints Lynne Ronon Executive Vice President, Merchandising

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Multichannel retailer HSN announced today that veteran retailer Lynne Ronon has been named Executive Vice President, Merchandising for the Company. The announcement was made by Mindy Grossman, CEO of IAC Retailing, to whom Ms. Ronon will report.

In her new position, Ms. Ronon will be responsible for planning and directing all of HSN’s merchandising strategies, programs and policies in its key categories: Apparel and Accessories, Beauty, Jewelry, Health/Personal Care, Home Fashions, and Electronics and Housewares. Among her responsibilities will be the continued evolution of HSN’s merchandising strategy, including the curation of brand name partners and the development of exclusive HSN brands; the expansion of product assortments; product development; and partner relations.

In making the announcement, Ms. Grossman said, "The complexities of merchandising in electronic retail require a very specific, hard-to-find executive skill set. Most recently, Ms. Ronon was with Burberry, where she had been Senior Vice President, North Asia, since 2003. In that capacity, Ms. Ronon’s responsibilities included all merchandise buying and product development, uniting franchises and core operations, and implementing a cohesive global strategy.

Previously, Ms. Ronon spent two years with Lane Crawford, a 150-year old luxury department store in Hong Kong and China, most recently as Senior Vice President, Commercial. During this time, she served as the company’s Chief Merchant for ladies’, men’s, home and cosmetics.

Ms. Ronon is a 16-year veteran of Saks Fifth Avenue. During her tenure there, she held various management positions, including Saks.com Senior Vice President, Chief Merchant (2000-2001), Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager, Women’s Ready-to-Wear, Private Brands and Special Sizes (1995-2000), and Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager, Career and Casual Sportswear (1987-1995). Ms. Ronon began her career at Gimbel’s East after attending Harcum College.
