Team Members Take Steps to Raise Awareness
Last November marked the 7th year HSN has participated in the annual Tampa Bay Heart Walk. Since 2012, HSN has contributed more than $2.35 million through the Tampa Bay Heart Walk to support the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association.
The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event that brings communities together to raise funds and celebrate progress in the fight against this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers, heart diseases and stroke.
This year, hundreds of team members came out to support the cause as HSN President, Mike Fitzharris, led the group on the 3.1 mile long journey.
“It was wonderful to see so many of our HSN team members gather together to walk in support of a cause that touches all of us,” said Mike Fitzharris. “We are proud to continue our long history of raising funds for the American Heart Association, carrying on our commitment to making a difference in the community.”
After months of community and employee efforts, HSN raised over $237,000, becoming one of the top two corporate fundraisers in all of Tampa Bay. The results were truly a community effort. The HSN retail stores raised over $40,000 in the month of October and HSN team members hosted several creative events to help fund raise. From sample sales to coffee carts, puppy destress events and even a chance to throw water balloons and a pie in the face of our leadership team, it created an opportunity for team members to come together to engage with one another.
HSN Cares is dedicated to empowering women and helping families in times of need. We partner with national charities like the American Heart Association, that support our mission and inspire our customers.
